Terms of service
Version 2026-10-02. Effective date: 2026-10-02.
These terms are the agreement between you and Kalst when you use Kalst to build a store and sell.
Who we are
Kalst is run by FLON OLSEN (ENK), org. no. 922 312 109, Skåreråsen 16, 1473 Lørenskog, Norway.
Write to us at support@kalst.com about anything in these terms.
Your account
You need an account to build a store. Use a real email address and keep your sign-in details safe.
You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can add a passkey and two-step sign-in to protect it.
If you use Kalst for a business, you accept these terms for that business.
You must be at least 18 to open an account.
Your store and what you sell
What you put in your store stays yours: your words, your images, your files and your prices.
You let Kalst host, copy, show and deliver that content only as far as needed to run your store and the features you turn on.
You are the seller. You are responsible for what you sell, for the promises you make to your buyers, and for your store's own refund, privacy and terms pages.
Kalst runs the software. We are not the seller of your products, and we do not run a marketplace.
What you may not do
Do not use Kalst to sell or share anything that is illegal where you or your buyers are.
Do not upload files that harm a device, such as malware.
Do not use someone else's work, name or brand without the right to.
Do not use Kalst to send spam or to mislead a buyer.
Do not sell anything that Stripe's list of prohibited and restricted businesses bans.
Do not sell adult content, weapons, drugs, gambling or counterfeit goods.
If a store breaks these rules, we may take it offline.
Payments and your money
Your buyers pay you through your own payment account. On Stripe, that is your own Stripe account, and the money goes there, never to Kalst.
Kalst takes 0% of every sale, on every plan. There is no commission of any kind.
Your payment provider charges its own processing fees on your account, and its own terms apply between you and it.
Refunds and payment disputes are handled in your own payment account.
You are responsible for the tax on your own sales, on every payment provider.
A buyer always pays in the checkout window. The AI Seller sends the checkout link; it never takes a payment itself.
Plans and billing
The Free plan has no time limit. Pro and Pro+ are paid by the month or by the year, and paying for a year gives you 2 months free.
Prices are on kalst.com/pricing. We bill paid plans to your card through Kalst's own Stripe account, apart from your sales.
A card on file wakes the Seller on every plan, Free included. Nothing is charged to it unless you choose a paid plan or turn on top-ups.
Each plan holds a number of Seller conversations a month, shown on the pricing page. When they run out, the Seller pauses, unless you turn on prepaid top-ups of 250 conversations for $5.
If a payment for your plan fails twice, the Seller pauses. Your store and checkout keep working.
You can cancel at any time. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, and then your store moves to Free.
If you connected your own domain, it keeps working for 30 days after the move, then sends buyers to your kalst.com address. Before you confirm a move to a smaller plan, we show you what changes.
Plan fees are not refunded. Cancelling stops the next renewal.
The AI Seller
The Seller is software that answers buyers for you. It replies in your store chat and, once you connect Instagram, in your Instagram DMs, comments and story replies.
It answers from what your store says and from the rules you set. It can still be wrong, so read what it writes. You can take over any conversation.
You set what the Seller may offer, such as a discount, and you are responsible for those offers.
Every reply it writes carries a tag that says it is AI. You cannot remove the tag.
When you connect Instagram, Meta's own terms also apply to your account and your messages.
The ledger rules
The ledger links each sale the Seller helps close to the conversation it came from.
The ledger is a report for you. It is never a bill: Kalst charges no fee on any sale, and nothing in the ledger changes what you pay us.
A sale counts as the Seller's when its checkout starts within 72 hours of the Seller sending the link or code in a conversation.
When a sale has more than one source, the highest wins, in this order: an Instagram conversation with the Seller, a store conversation with the Seller, a campaign link, then everything else. Within one source, the latest one wins.
A refund or a chargeback adds a negative line that points to the original sale. A sale is never moved to another source after the fact.
The ledger always shows the sales it could not link, the currency, the time zone, the window and the version of these rules.
If a line is not the Seller's, mark it in one click. The change is instant and final.
These rules have a version. A change gets a new version, and each line keeps the version it was made under.
Your data and leaving
You can export your customers, emails, sales and conversations at any time, on every plan.
For your buyers' information, you decide what is collected and why, and Kalst handles it on your behalf. Our privacy notice at kalst.com/privacy explains what Kalst does with information.
You can delete your store at any time. It goes offline at once, and you can recover it during the next 30 days. After that it is deleted, except the records the law makes us keep. Its refund, privacy and terms pages stay public for those 30 days.
You can delete your account once your store is deleted.
